VCA NEWS: Arya, Shraddha power Vidarbha to victory

Arya Pongde smashed 70 off 39 balls and skipper Shraddha Nabira made 45 off 26 deliveries, powering Vidarbha to a comfortable eight-wicket win over Assam in an Elite Group C match of the U-19 Women's T20 Trophy in Trivandrum on Monday.

Arya hit nine boundaries and two sixes and Shraddha smacked two boundaries and four sixes, helping Vidarbha chase down Assam's meagre total of 128/4 in only 11.5 overs.

Earlier, Vidarbha bowlers did a fine job to restrict Assam after winning the toss as electing to bowl first.
