VCA is starting training activities of its various age group teams. They have obtained written permission from the Nagpur Municipal Corporation for the same. The training will be conducted in three parts 1. Batting training at its indoor batting facility 2.Bowling in nets & 3.Fielding practice in small groups. Different teams have been allotted different time slots to ensure that all safety protocols are followed.

VCA will scrupulously follow all guidelines and Standard Operating Procedures recommended by the local authorities and the BCCI. To oversee all medical protocols as required by BCCI, VCA will be appointing a medical officer. The Medical Officer will also educate the players and the support staff on the protocols to be followed. This will be done by means of a webinar as well as physical instructions to each group. All the players, coaches & support staff have undergone COVID-19 Test. Only those who have been found to be negative will be allowed to join in the training. The players are also properly instructed to maintain all safety norms even when they are not in the training camps. All the playing and training areas have been properly sanitized and use of sanitizer, gloves and masks will be implemented.

The training camps will be supervised by the Coaches, Physios, Trainers of VCA. Vice President & Chairman CADC Mr. Prashant Vaidya will oversee the entire process.

VCA Celebrating 125th Birth Anniversary of Col. C.K. Nayudu

At an impressive but simple function, VCA today celebrated the 125th Birth Anniversary of legendary cricketer & India's first Test Captain, Col. C.K. Nayudu.

All the Captains of VCA teams, Men & Women, garlanded the statue of Col. C.K. Nayudu which is situated in the premises of VCA Stadium, Civil Lines, Nagpur.

Adv. Anand Jaiswal, President of VCA while addressing the gathering said that, C.K. Nayudu was the first superstar of Indian Cricket & such was his popularity that when 'Douglas Jardine' of the Body Line fame, brought his MCC team to India in 1934, all teams that were to play against the MCC team requested participation of C. K. Nayudu in their teams so that the public could witness his batting skills. C.K. Nayudu was well known for his power to hit huge sixes and was responsible for instilling pride in the Indian Cricket team, said Mr. Jaiswal.

VCA has a very special connection with C.K. Nayudu as he played many matches at the Civil Lines Stadium, representing the "Hindu" team in the quadrangular matches that were played in those days.

In the season 2019-20 the VCA U-23 team won the BCCI conducted "Col. C.K. Nayudu U-23 Tournament".

Present during the function were Hon. Secretary of VCA Mr. Parimal Vaidya, C.E.O. Mr. Farokh Dastoor and Coaches & Selectors of VCA.

The statue and its surrounding area have been beautified and lighted to give a very impressive look to the area.

At a glittering awards function of BCCI held on 12th January 2020 at Taj Mahal Hotel Mumbai, which was attended by the whose who of Indian Cricket, Vidarbha Cricket Association was presented with the ‘Best Performing Association Award’ 2018-19. The award was presented by the BCCI Vice President Mr. Mahim Verma.
